Brief history of Jabez Ministries, inc.
You may not know how we came to name this ministry. Going back into the mid-1990’s our mission work began to find direction and focus. With projects in Puebla, Mexico in 1992, 1994 and 1995 and the beginning of a Hispanic mission in the Lake Charles, LA area God began to adjust our lives and focus.
Through the work of the Hispanic mission here and the contacts that were made in Mexico, God has introduced us to additional opportunities to serve Him in Costa Rica, Honduras, Bolivia and Nicaragua. It is through the expansion of these opportunities that we have derived the name from the prayer of Jabez. Our prayer has been to follow God where He leads and we have asked that His hand be on us and that He protects us and expands our territories and keeps us from evil.
Present mission work
Jabez Ministries, Inc. currently supports Pan de Vida Children’s Ministry in La Paz, Bolivia, as well as special projects in various places of Bolivia that are ongoing efforts of Carlos Montano & family from Fort Worth, Texas. Projects that have been completed in the past were in Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and Bolivia. For more details about recent projects go to the Newsletters.
